Australia’s middle order finally showed up, with two 50-plus run stands that capitalized on another strong opening stand from Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head to make a competitive 322/9 in the third ODI against South Africa at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Wednesday.
Marsh and Head’s opening stand of 78 was supplemented by stands of 73 (Alex Carey and Oliver Peake) and 66 (Carey and Matt Renshaw) so that Australia could finally give South Africa something to test them.
